Milkquake Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 3, 2026.

Data we use

Milkquake creates a random player identifier to retain your nickname, best score, friend code, friend requests and friends list. No email address, location, photo or contact data is required to play. Phone motion is processed on the device during a game and is never sent to the server.

If you enable friend alerts, a technical notification token associated with the device is stored to deliver friend requests, acceptances and record alerts. It is sent to Apple Push Notification service on iOS or Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android and deleted with the account.

To operate and improve the game, Milkquake stores pseudonymized, aggregated usage statistics: sessions, games played, total score and platform (Web, Android or iOS). The identifier used to count visitors is hashed in daily statistics. Raw motion-sensor data is never stored.

Advertising

The web and mobile versions may display Google ads. Depending on your consent and region, Google and its partners may process advertising identifiers and device information. You can change your advertising choices from “My Account” in the mobile app.

Storage and security

Scores and friend relationships are hosted in France/Europe on Milkquake infrastructure. A recovery key lets you recover your account and must be kept confidential.

Deletion

In the app, choose My Account → Delete My Account. This deletes the profile, record, requests, friend relationships and notification tokens. You can also use the account deletion page.

Your rights

You can delete your data directly through the secure deletion page. For other requests, use the support channel shown on the app’s official store listing.
